California rapper Suga Free is back after a 10-year hiatus. We last heard from the quick-rhyming, off-tempo rapping artist when he dropped Hi Power Pimpin back in 2009, and he's proving that there's still plenty of gas in the tank with his latest effort The Ressurection. Suga Free doesn't deviate much from his signature sound that fans grew to love in days past, but the 49-year-old lyricist manages to avoid repeating hits. He does, however, continue to glorify his "pimp" theme that he's carried on since he stepped into the rap game

On The Ressurection, Free works with longtime friend and collaborator DJ Quik along with Kokane, DaeOne, Duece Mack, Blacktovan, and E.D.I. Mean. For those that have given Blueface a hard time for rapping off-beat, they'll find that his style is mirrored after artists such as E-40 and Suga Free. They made successful careers from going against the norm and stylizing rhymes enough to win over large audiences.
