Styles P was looking for answers on Thursday (June 11th) about Black Lives Matter, after taking notice of just how many donations have been made to the organization as of late. Ever since protests against police brutality and systemic racism broke out nationwide in the wake of George Floyd's murder, people have been looking into where they can donate to help fight racial injustice. Black Lives Matter has been an obvious choice for many, but Styles P brought up some questions about where these funds are actually going. The rapper took his inquiries to Twitter, hoping to get some answers.

“Where is the money being donated going ?” he asked. “Who is the treasurer of blm ? Do they have leaders in every city they contact ? Is it a board ? and where are the headquarters located?” He followed this tweet with what appears to be a reference to a popular right-wing conspiracy about billionaire George Soros. “How can one person fund blm and antifa,” he asked. “sh*t ain’t right !!!”

Black Lives Matter was founded by Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors and Opal Tometi in 2013, and has chapters in cities all across the United States, as well as three in Canada. According to the BLM website, donations are used to fund the “ongoing fight to end state-sanctioned violence, liberate Black people and end white supremacy forever.” Donations are made through ActBlue Charities, an independant, nonprofit, online fundraising platform for Democratic candidates, progressive organizations, and other nonprofits. However, ActBlue has specified that it is "not run by the official Democratic Party or any other organization," but because it is "a mission-based organization," they only allow Democrats to use their tools to fundraise, and not Republicans.
