You listened to Dr. Dre's Compton: The Soundtrack, now watch this 11-minute extended preview of "Straight Outta Compton" courtesy of Noisey, with behind the scenes footage from shoots, footage from the film, and interviews with the actors, the original artists of N.W.A., and director of the film F. Gary Gray.
The preview introduces each actor portraying a member of N.W.A., including O'Shea Jackson, Jr., who endured a 2-year audition period before securing the role of Ice Cube, his father. Cube, Dr. Dre, Gray elucidate the vision and purpose of the film and describe the mood on the film set. Gray says Dre is on set everyday.
"Straight Outta Compton" is in theaters August 14.
