Steve Harvey is facing serious online backlash for comments made on a recent episode of his show, when he suggested that women do not find Asian men attractive.
In the clip in question, Harvey shows the crowd a picture of a book cover that reads "How to Date a White Woman: A Practical Guide for Asian Men." He jokes that such a book should only be one-page in length. He seemingly then acts out a brief conversation between an Asian suitor and a white woman: "'Scuse me, do you like Asian men? No. Thank you."
Harvey then implies that a black woman would have a similar reaction to being courted by an Asian man. Again, he imagines what such an encounter would sound like: "You like Asian men? I don't even like Chinese food, boy ... I don't eat what I can't pronounce."
Due to the racist implications of his jokes, Harvey is being rebuked on Twitter. Many have also responded by illustrating that they do, in fact, find Asian men attractive.
