Statik Selektah brought together a gang of emcees for his latest cut. Featuring emcees form New York City, New England and Upstate New York, “The Curve” is an classic sounding cut. It starts out with Westside Gunn and Conway exchanging bars before Your Old Droog and Termanology get into a succession of stanzas.

Static Selektah sets a high-pitched loop over the funky live bass line to keep the beat from getting too relaxed. Selektah is always coming through with tracks most recently releasing a single from he and Kxng Crooked’s upcoming joint project. Termanology is also featured on that track, which is not surprising as he and Selektah are from the same area of Massachusetts.

Quotable Lyrics

Eating good to improve my health
without fear I still go out there and prove myself
as it ever was a question whether Droog can rhyme
translations gon be up in the Smithsonian and the Guggenheim
