Disney's putting a hold on the Star Wars series for a bit starting in 2020. Disney CEO Bob Iger made the revelation in an interview with Bloomberg, saying that the company needs to go back to the drawing board following the release of Episode IX. As fans eagerly await the final chapter in the Skywalker Saga, they've officially shared a new teaser for the J.J. Abrams-directed film, titled, Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker.

Disney has unveiled the official first trailer for Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker. The trailer opens up with Rey panting as she's seen running with a lightsaber in a desert before jumping on a ship. We then start to see Kylo Ren, Leia and Lando pop up on the screen.

The trailer finally revealed the title of the film which has been referred to as Episode IX for a while now. The trailer debuted today (April 12) at the Star Wars Celebration in Chicago. You could peep the trailer below.

As The Rise Of Skywalker ends the Skywalker Saga, Iger said that there will be new Star Wars movies but there aren't any concrete plans that have been announced yet.

"We will take a pause, some time, and reset,” he said, “because the Skywalker saga comes to an end with this ninth movie. There will be other Stars Wars movies, but there will be a bit of a hiatus.”

Despite the hiatus, Disney's gearing up to launch a Star Wars TV series which will end up being the company's focus for the next little while. “It doesn’t have a name yet,” he said. “We think it will be great.”
