It's that time of the week. The past seven days have been pretty eventful-- the momentum all started on last weekend, when a new episode of OVO Sound Radio dropped as many gems as one could hope for in the span of seven days-- except they did it all within the span of their two-hour segment. It's safe to say, the bar was set pretty high for the weekdays that followed. Even so, we managed to get some dope material in the days that followed. Curren$y connected with NOLA OG Juvenile, Snoop Dogg teamed up with smoke buddy Wiz Khalifa for an undeniably dope record (and leaving us with high hopes for his album), MMG reunited for a Self-Made 4 leak, we got TWO new songs from Weezy F, Clams Casino showed up with Vince Staples in tow, Tory Lanez dropped his new single (shout out ourselves for the premiere); to be honest, this is just scratching the surface, no shade to anyone I did not mention.
When it comes to our Staff Picks playlist, we of course had to represent for our homies and the artists we've supported since day one, namely, Roy Wood$, Tory Lanez, AD & Sorry Jaynari and Kembe X all make an appearance. The playlist moves around from Toronto to the West Coast to the South and the Midwest. There's a fair share of territory covered within the 11 songs.
