Soulja Boy arguably invented the somewhat short-lived but highly influential genre of swag rap alongside Lil B with his Pretty Boy Millionaires mixtape, and once in a while he proves that he's still one of the best at the minimal, but infectiously catchy style.
"Swagg Like Me" definitely brings things back, but keeps the production very much within the sphere of what's coming out of new Atlanta right now.
This is the second track we've been given by SB today, and is definitely a testament to his versatility. Check out the comparatively low-key "Wassup" here.
The song was apparently made in celebration of Soulja being named the "Prince Of Hip Hop" in a recent article by Fox Weekly (If you listen closely you'll hear Soulja's ad-libs echoing the title).
