Rappers, actors, musicians and artists as a whole have been doing what they could to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Today, Solange took to Instagram to announce that she'd be playing benefit shows in New York City and Boston with proceeds from both shows going directly towards Hurricane Harvey relief.

Solange took to Instagram today to announce that she'd be taking her "Orion's Rising" show to Boston as well as adding another one in New York. The singer wrote two seperate posts announcing it. Her first post announced the Boston show, saying "I will be doing a special "Orions Rise" show in Boston, and ALL proceeds will go towards Hurricane Harvey Relief. I'm committed to partnering with organizations on the ground in Houston and making contributions to uplift the city that raised me with so much love. See you September 28th Boston, I thank you in advance for making this a special meaningful night !"

She followed that post by announcing another show at New York City's Radio Music Hall. All three of her NYC shows have already sold out. In her post, she announced that she'll be adding a fourth show her New York City performance series with proceeds from it going to support the hometown neighborhood in Houston, Third Ward.

The post read, "....alsoooo my heart exploded when I found out how quickly radio city, greek theatre, and kennedy center sold out🌹 so we have added another radio city show, and to honor my hometown neighborhood #thirdward, $3 from every ticket sale will go directly to Hurricane Harvey relief in the area. thanks for all of your support!"

Solange's New York City date will take place on October 3rd. Also performing that day will be Earl Sweatshirt and French pianist, Chassol. The Boston date will take place at Orpheum and will also include a performance by The Sun Ra Arkestra.

Solange is among many artists who are donating and putting their efforts forward to help. Hurricane Harvey hits close to home for both Solange and her sister Beyonce, as they're natives to Houston.
