TMZ reports that Snoop Dogg was arrested for weed this past week while in Texas, when a drug-sniffing dog found marijuana on his bus.

Supposedly they stopped at a border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, and the border patrol and dog did a routine check in the bus. They found a prescripition bottle with  a half-ounce of weed and several joints inside.

The police say that Snoop admitted that the weed belonged to him, for which he has a prescripition in California, however in Texas there is a zero tolerance policy, no matter what state your from.

The cops issued Snoop a citation for a misdemeanor drug possession and then released him.
