808 Mafia has been taking over the production game, soundtracking the hottest artists from Atlanta, and eventually getting rappers from all over asking for the Kill Bill siren sound. Now they're ready to start launching artists. Slugg Mania is billed as an 808 Mafia artist, and his most recent project was produced entirely by TM88, which is a pretty good start.
Slugg's latest track is "Lost In Atlanta," a hypnotic track built off of a psychedelic sample, as Slugg lives up to his name with an impossibly lazy flow that matches the creeping instrumental perfectly. Look out for more from him soon.
