Skepta has been lighting it up in Great Britain for the better part of the last decade, but 2015 was the year that he finally made the leap across the pond and established a foothold in the States and beyond. His newfound popularity can more or less be traced to his hit singles "Shutdown" & "Top Boy," though his remixes of "Jumpman" and "I Know There's Gonna Be Good Times" didn't hurt each other.
It's 2016 and Skepta is still murdering other rapper's beats. Currently touring in Australia, he stopped by triple j radio to rip a freestyle over Kano's 2005 track "P's & Q's" (not to be confused with Mick Jenkin's fiery Kaytranada-produced "P's & Q's"). This will help tide over fans until the release of Skepta's oft-delayed album Konnichiwa.
Told me he was a big fan but the first thing he said
When he saw me was "can I get a pic for the 'Gram?"
I was like "nah, sorry man"
"I only socialize with the crew and the gang"
