Luckily, the Divine Council emcee isn't one to waste words on wax, lining each of his creatively titled tracks with a heavy dose of dense and layered bars.
"Every song I drop this year, I wrote it this year," he revealed on Twitter. "No outdated bullshit raps from years ago that I’ve been holding on to for no reason that have nothing to do with what’s going on in today’s world."
Aesthetically, this one skews close to the golden era of underground hip-hop, possessing a gritty sonic quality fueled by sampled loop production. Unpacking a given verse from $ilk requires close attention, so don't expect this one to be a quick background listen. Especially when the title alone can yield countless interpretations -- what exactly is a Meatbag of the 85, and why are they attacking so relentlessly?
