Shyne has had some ups and downs throughout his lengthy career, but the former Bad Boy Entertainment rapper has officially kicked 2018 off on a positive note. Yesterday, Shyne took to Instagram to announce the birth of his new baby, Naomi, writing "Welcome our princess Naomi 💗💗💗, Thank the Creator of the universe for delivering you to us🙏🏾 Love at first sight." And while Shyne is no longer rapping as much, it's still good to see one of hip-hip's own getting a personal win. Congratulations to Shyne and his family!
In case you didn't know, Shyne has been living in Belize (in the good way, not the Saul Goodman way) for a minute now, after being released from prison over possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment, and assault. And while his life has taken the rapper on an interesting trajectory, with moments of violence and spirituality, success and failure, collaborations with Diddy and Diddy diss tracks, it all seems to have culminated in a peaceful place.
Remember, Shyne was poised to be one of New York's biggest stars back in the late nineties. However, it all went left after violence broke out on December 27th, 1999. Shyne found himself at a nightclub where a scuffle broke out, and he ultimately did himself no favors when he opened fire into the crowd. Now, nearly twenty years later, Shyne is still around, holding it down as a new father. Once again, congrats to Shyne and Naomi!
