If you're a rap fan, chances are you came across Sharebeast once or twice, or more likely, every single day for the last few years. As with most websites devoted to illegally hosting copyrighted content, it was only a matter of time before the hammer was dropped on the file-sharing site, and it looks like that day has come.

Visiting Sharebeast.com now produces a message from the FBI, declaring that the domain name has been seized. The site is said to be the largest filesharing service based on US soil. Sister sites such as albumjams.com and mp3pet.com have also been shut down.

Of course, whenever a site like this goes down, there's always another to take its place, but things are becoming more regulated with the use of streaming services. Will the U.S. ever "win" the war on piracy? Let us know in the comments.
