After releasing his OutKast-inspired Spaghetti Junction mixtape last October, Scotty ATL landed on our radars as one to watch outta Atlanta. The mixtape featured top-notch production from DJ Burn One, Childish Major, Cassius Jay, and KE on the Track.
Now, we get a video to "Cloud IX", one of the tape's hottest tracks. "Cloud IX" has that old-school Atlanta feel we never tire of after repeat listens of Big Boi & Andre 3k. The beat is by DJ Toomp, an Atlanta legend who's been producing for T.I. since before Trap Muzik. The lyric video features the animated character from Black Dynamite in a hot-boxed rocketship headed for the stars. Scotty ATL is one of a few artists pushing vintage Atlanta in a fresh way.
