While some fans may have had their doubts, Run The Jewels actually came through with their Meow The Jewels remix project in September 2015. The project reinterprets RTJ production with an array of different cat noises, while Killer Mike and El-P's vocals are placed atop them.
After dropping off a music video for "Oh My Darling Don't Meow" back in October, Meow the Jewels are back today with a visual for "Meowpurrdy." In conjunction with Adult Swim, the visual calls upon animator Cyriak to create an otherworldly cat-driven experience. What starts out rather innocently as kittens running across your screen quickly turns into something more menacing, as the cats become demonic, birthing (or throwing up?) other cats out of their mouth, growing multiple heads, and generally doing unnatural things.
