The "Road to Wrestlemania" kicked off last night at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas as the WWE's annual battle royal, the Royal Rumble, proved why it's consistently one of the best pay-per-view programs in Vince McMahon's stable.
The 30-man Royal Rumble match was a star-studded affair featuring the Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, Chris Jericho, Roman Reigns and eventual winner Randy Orton.
The final four men in the Rumble were, Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, Chris Jericho and Randy Orton but it was Orton who eliminated Reigns at the end of the night to punch his ticket to Wrestlemania.
Elsewhere on the Royal Rumble card, John Cena beat AJ Styles in the WWE Championship match, tying Ric Flair for the most world title wins with 16.
Flair's daughter, Charlotte, retained the WWE Women's Championship with a win over Bayley and Kevin Owens successfully defended his WWE Universal Championship by beating Roman Reigns, although he needed some outside interference to get the job done.
