After being drafted second overall by the Washington Redskins in 2012, Robert Griffin III was as impressive as you could want your rookie quarterback to be in his first season. Unfortunately for Griffin, his coach mismanaged his injury and the quarterback was never the same after that. Griffin III struggled to stay in the league and in 2017, he sat out the entire season. Last fall though, Griffin was given a second chance by the Baltimore Ravens when they signed him to a one-year, $1.1 million contract. He was the third-string quarterback behind Joe Flacco and Lamar Jackson.

Griffin impressed head coach John Harbaugh so much that the team has decided to bring him back for two more seasons. While no dollar amount has been reported, the deal is pending a physical, according to ESPN. The signing makes sense for the Ravens who traded away Joe Flacco in the offseason. Jackson and Griffin are the only quarterbacks on the roster, which will allow the former 2nd overall pick to mentor Jackson who is expected to be the starter.

The Baltimore Ravens went 10-6 last year and were ousted in the Wild-Card round by the Los Angeles Chargers. If Jackson falters at all this year, you can expect Griffin to see some action.
