RiFF RAFF made major moves in the music industry a few years a go and became one of the biggest names in music solely off his eccentric personality but it seems like he's been pretty quiet on the music front for the past few years. After the rapper was initially signed to Diplo's Mad Decent label, he made waves in the music industry. However, Riff Raff recently announced that he penned a new record deal.
Riff Raff hit Instagram recently to reveal that he just signed a $500K record deal with Blackbear's Beartrap Sounds imprint. Blackbear later confirmed this on his own Instagram page. The two of them posted a picture next to each other with a massive cheque behind Riff and Blackbear holding out a $50K iced out chain which Riff says is a bonus to his deal.
"RiFF RAFF SiGNS TO BLACKBEAR’S LABEL BEARTRAP SOUND ... $500,000 PER ALBUM .... “PiNK PYTHōN” FALL 2018 ... ZOOM iN TO SEE MY NEW POLAR BEAR CHAiN iTS iN HiS HAND .. ViDEO OF THE NEW DiAMOND CHAiN COMiNG SOON," he wrote in the caption of his photo.
It's definitely a solid move for Riff Raff and will hopefully bring him back to the forefront once again.
Back in 2016, the rapper's Neon Nation Corporation teamed up with Stampede Management and BMG for a $4M deal. The deal was not solely for music but also for investing in other forms of art including film. It's exciting to see what Riff Raff gets up to next alongside Blackbear.
