Riff Raff Announces Release Date For "Neon Icon" [Update: Album Pushed Back]

Riff Raff says "The Neon Icon" is dropping on January 28th.

Riff Raff has been promoting his upcoming album Neon Icon for awhile now, he's talked a lot on the features and production and even revealed the cover art, but hadn't revealed a release date, until today.

The rapper took to Twitter to share his excitement for his debut album, and at the same time, revealed when it's dropping. The album will arrive on January 28th 2014.

RiFF RaFF's debut effort, the anticipated album Neon Icon, was originally supposed to come out today after several delays. Well, we can now tack yet another delay onto it, as the album has been pushed back.

RiFF RaFF regretfully announced the news via Twitter, and there was no new release date provided. RiFF says we should ask his label head, Diplo. He tweeted, "SO... i DiDNT WiN A GRAMMY AND i JUST FOUND OUT MY ALBUM GOT PUSHED BACK .. KOOL DAY !! ......... WHAT THE EVERLASTiNG FUCK !!"

He added, "i HAVE NO iDEA WHEN THE NEON iCON ALBUM WiLL DROP, ASK @DiPLO"

Although the album is delayed, there seems to be a bit of good news concerning the rapper's video budget. He tweeted yesterday, "i WANTED TO ALBUM TO DROP TOMORROW BUT @DiPLO GOT A $1,300,000 BUDGET FOR MY ViDEOS & THEY HAVE TO FiLL OUT PAPERWORK SO iTS WORTH THE WAiT."
