Rickie Jacobs is an emerging rapper from Baltimore, and with his new cut, he's linking up with Harlem via the Kushed God, Smoke DZA.

Rickie does some interesting vocal-layering on the hook of "Sweats", pitch-shifting his voice to create a harmonized chopped and screwed melody. Elsewhere he delivers memorable flows and rhyme schemes, contributing much personality to the cloudy beat, before passing things over to DZA, who's no stranger to these kind of lush and hazy instrumentals.

If you're looking for more from the prolific rapper, make sure to check out his Beautiful America EP, as well as his recent track, "Rocafella Intro 2002".

Rickie's Remember to Smile project is due out February 18th.

Quotable lyrics:
Best emcee in Baltimore
You try to copy my steez
Just admit I'm your father, boy
And plus you not in my league
What's up with all these wack rappers
And why you following me?
Man, I'mma tell the kids to stay in school
But fuck the college dregree
