We’re happy to share an exclusive listen to the newest cut from the Bay Area’s Rexx Life Raj, titled “Clipse 02’.” Rexx does double duty on the track, producing subdued trap beat, featuring spacey vocal samples and snapping 808s before he laces it with his vocals.
The refrain “I’ve been grinding for real, I’ve been grinding” anchors the chorus and provides a theme for the song as a whole. The title is a reference to The Clipse’s seminal track from 2002, “Grindin’.”
