After experiencing feelings of having wasted time, Reginae Carter's life is full of great news. This next chapter is slightly bittersweet, however. Her career seems to be taking off while her romantic relationship with YFN Lucci has fizzled. The entertainer opened up about both subjects to her mother, captured in a clip from VH1's T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle.
She first announced her upcoming role in the upcoming all-Black casted Pride and Prejudice Lifetime remake. When her mom, Toya Wright, asked how she would juggle her new gig and her relationship with Lucci, Reginae responds, "We decided to be cool. He do his thing and I do mine."
She offers further explanation in the show's testimonial snippet. "We were kind of going through something and the world [had] seen it on social media. So, it was a lot going on that's why I barely could talk about this right now. But I gotta zip it on up, 'cause I have to go on set and I have to work and do what I love and do what's going to make me my coins."
Toya tells her daughter that the hiatus is for "the best," and advises her to "stay in your own world and focus on you." She had previously voiced disapproval concerning her daughter's relationship so this new must have come with a bit of release for the protective mother. View the full clip below.
