Today is the big day. Tha Carter V is dropping today after so much time waiting for the project to actually arrive. C5 is arguably one of the most highly-anticipated albums of all time. We've literally been waiting for six years to receive it and it feels surreal that we'll finally be able to listen when the clock strikes midnight. A tracklist has been thrown around and seemingly confirmed by Cool & Dre but it appears as though there are some new additions to the table, with Nivea and XXXTentacion also rumored to make appearances. One name that was included on the presumed tracklisting is Reginae Carter and Wayne's daughter just confirmed that she will be featured on Carter V.
The fifth instalment of the Carter series is mere hours away as Weezy told us it would be releasing on his birthday, which is today. Nae hit up Instagram to celebrate her dad's big day, confirming her feature on the album and awarding him with icon status. Her message was sweet as she began by singing the classic "Happy Birthday" song. She said:
"Happy birthday to yaaaa ! Happy birthday to ya ! I love you so much ! It’s crazy it’s your birthday and you’re gifting the world on your day ! ICONIC! I can’t wait till your fans finally hear C5 ! You’ve worked so hard and we’ve all waited so long and it’s finally here !! And plus , I’m on dat bihh 😏🤗 love you so much ! We’re about to turn up ! Period."
Tunechi and his daughter aren't the only people celebrating the special occasion today. Most hip-hop fans are looking forward to tonight so they can finally take in what Wayne laid down in the studio. Hopefully, it lives up to the hype. Happy birthday, Wayne!
