It was established in 2008 by Mr. Kabelo Rangaka better known as Kabie with the release of the ground breaking projects such as: Pule Makhetha “Gospel”, DJ Mc’brino “House”, Ntathakusa Brothers “traditional Zulu”. Thando Khoza “Afro-soul” & Fiki Mazeka “Dance/house”. The label specializes: in house/dance music, kwaito, hip hop, gospel, traditional music and rhythm and blues and soul music. Record Straight Records (Pty) Limited has three business units which are: Recording Studio: Record Label and Artists Management. The main aim & objective: of the company is to scout, sign and develop local talent and create a platform for young artist to realize their dreams more especially in South Africa.
