Up-and-coming Atlanta singer/songwriter Raury will soon drop "Indigo Child," but first he got a co-sign from none other than Kanye West.
Back in April, a 17-year-old singer/songwriter from Atlanta named Raury released a video for his track "God's Whisper" that would eventually lead to the biggest break of his young career. Apparently, Kanye West saw the video recently, and liked it so much that he flew Raury out to meet him.
Complex says that Raury's rep told them "The photo [see above] was taken shortly after Kanye West saw the 'God's Whisper' video. 'Ye personally flew Raury out and expressed that he was inspired by the visual. The two played each others album and just kicked it. However, West is working on his next album and they plan to hit the studio very soon."
With that exciting encounter under his belt, Raury will release his new project Indigo Child on August 25th. The project's artwork and tracklist are in the gallery above.
Stay tuned for big things from this kid.
