Ransom Songs

  • Soul Killa
    Soul Killa
Almost a year removed from his Pain & Glory album, and New Jersey artist Ransom is already working on his follow up project Soul Killa. Today, he decides to start the rollout process for it by sharing the project’s title track on his soundcloud page.
  • If You Love Me 3000
    If You Love Me 3000
Keeping his weekly #MixtapeMonday series alive, DJ Absolut decides to return to the scene today with another new posse cut titled “If You Love Me 3000” featuring AZ, Ransom, and Loaded Lux.
  • Untouchable (Freestyle)
    Untouchable (Freestyle)
Jadakiss, Fabolous, Sheek Louch, Tony Yayo, Papoose, Ransom-- over the course of the last few months, these guys have all been turning in freestyles over classic NY beats. Although it doesn't seem like a coordinated effort, it's definitely making for a very different summer than last year's, where Bobby Shmurda and Dej Loaf tracks were the most popular landing spots for rappers' new verses. Today, we've got Ransom going in over Just Blaze's "Hovi Baby" instrumental that he made for Jay Z.
  • Kick In The Door (Freestyle)
    Kick In The Door (Freestyle)
Rather than taking on the hot instrumental of the moment, it's become trendy for rapper's to reach back to the 90s for their new freestyles, and if it means avoiding the oversaturation of some of our favorite current beats -- we're all for it.
  • Dynasty (Freestyle)
    Dynasty (Freestyle)
Lately, it seems like there's been more NY rappers going in over Jay Z classics than ever. Retchy P, OT Genasis, Jadakiss and Dave East have all given us Hova freestyles in the past six months or so, and now comes Ransom's turn. His choice is the Just Blaze-produced "Dynasty Intro" from The Dynasty Roc La Familia.
  • Undefeated
DJ Kay Slay is back again with another posse cut. Last week, he dropped off the track “I Declare War” with Styles P, Sheek Louch, Vado, Raekwon, & Rell, and now today he’s doing it all over again, this time calling on Ransom, Jon Connor, and Dave East for “Undefeated”.
  • Goliath (Freestyle)
    Goliath (Freestyle)
After dropping off a visual for his track “Lies” last week, Ransom decides to return to the scene tonight with a new freestyle called “Goliath”.
  • The Plaza Hotel
    The Plaza Hotel
While it's currently unclear what project Absolut got these spitters together for, when you get a collaboration like this, why ask why? DJ Absolut has been dropping loose tracks all year combining some of the finest rhymers New York has to offer. Fans of this track may remember early last month Absolut dropped "NY Giants 2", again featuring MOP, but replacing the late great legend Big Pun with his offspring, Chris Rivers.
  • Possible
Fans of Mike WiLL's new Ransom tape are undoubtedly familiar with "Possible" at this point. A trunk-banging collaboration between Yung Joey & DeJ Loaf, the record may have been overshadowed by the various big names that surrounded it, but upon further listening, it's definitely among the standouts. Getting the official single treatment from Yung Joey (who hasn't had a solo song on these pages in almost two years), the track gets a second chance at acclaim for those who slept on it.
  • Choppin' Blades
    Choppin' Blades
As if new tracks featuring 2Chainz and ILoveMakonnen weren't enough to get the people excited for tomorrow's Ransom tape, Mike Will continues to leak new music from the project. On "Choppin' Blades," Riff Raff is joined by one-half of Rae Sremmurd for a synth-driven ode to oversized rims. Play this one in the whip for the producer's intended experience.
  • Someone To Love
    Someone To Love
With his Ransom mixtape drop just around the corner, Mike Will Made It returns today with a fresh cut from the project. Featuring verses from 2Chainz, Cap1 & Skooly, the bass-heavy track provides all of the thrills typically associated with Mike's production credits nowadays. Check the track out and let us know if you're feeling it. Meanwhile, be sure to follow Mike on Twitter for all of the latest updates on his upcoming records.
  • Swerve
Mike WiLL Made It took to Hot 97 tonight to premiere a few records from tomorrow's highly-anticipated Ransom tape. Of the three premieres, "Swerve," a collaborative track with OVO Sounds' ILoveMakonnen stood out. Also set to appear on Makonnen's upcoming re-release of his self-titled EP, this one makes good use of the vocalist's knack for creating a catchy hook. Hear it now before the song gets played out at parties across the nation.
  • Choppin
Some of hip-hop's self-appointed weird rappers, Riff Raff and young duo Rae Sremmurd come together today for "Choppin." It's unexpected, but at the same time, not at all. Mike WiLL Made It on the boards of course, the producer was on Sway In The Morning earlier today where he debuted this record. It's a hard beat from Mike WiLL, and will likely appear on the Atlanta native's upcoming mixtape Ransom.
  • Demise
After being shot at after his show in Brooklyn last night, Freddie Gibbs is very lucky to have not met his demise last night. He did, however, show up on a Ransom track called "Demise" shortly after, taken from the rapper's Pain & Glory: The Album.
  • Don’t Say Nothing To Me
    Don’t Say Nothing To Me
New York hip-hop gets a good look on this new single from the legendary DJ Kay Slay. Featuring a street-ready instrumental from Level 13, "Don't Say Nothing To Me" is packed with quotables. Take a listen to the track, and let us know who's verse impressed you the most on this one.  "Don't Say Nothing To Me" is set to appear on Kay Slay's The Original Man mixtape, due out this Tuesday (November 4th). Stay tuned as we continue to cover the project's release.
  • I Got
    I Got
When Rich Gang dropped their mixtape Tha Tour Pt. 1 earlier this month, the producer credits were largely unknown on the project. We know that "Lifestyle" producer London On Tha Track was the executive producer, and his tag was on a few tracks, but other than that, Birdman and Co. kept us in the dark. Now we know that the PeeWee Longway-assisted Young Thug track "I Got" that was included on the tape was produced by Mike WiLL Made It, as he just shared the track on his SoundCloud.
  • Knicks (Remix)
    Knicks (Remix)
Freddie Gibbs and Madlib's joint LP, Piñata, was released earlier this year and is (in some people's minds) one of the year's finest. Now, one of the highlights of the project, "Knicks," has gotten the all-star remix it deserves. Action Bronson, Joey Bada$$ and Ransom, all of whom know their way around a dusty boom-bap track, hop on the Madlib joint.
  • Make A Deal
    Make A Deal
Ahead of Joe Budden's Some Love Lost album, dropping on November 4th, the NJ spitter has been dropping one-off tracks every week in October that won't appear on the project.
  • Pussy Overrated
    Pussy Overrated
After Mike WiLL's collabo with Big Sean "Paradise" got leaked by the rapper himself, Mike WiLL Made It goes ahead and lets go a new collaboration off his upcoming Ransom mixtape. He nabs frequent collaborator Future for the hook as well as Wiz Khalifa, who's been popping up a lot lately.
  • Nothing Changed
    Nothing Changed
On November 4th, Joe Budden will release a new album entitled Some Love lost, but apparently, he recorded too much new material to fit on the project. Taking to SoundCloud today to share "Nothing Changed," Budden wrote "1st leak. There will be a leak every week. These tracks will NOT be featured on Some Love Lost."
