Ransom gives his fans a birthday gift with "The Departed".

We haven't heard a whole lot from New Jersey rapper Ransom since his dust up with Nicki Minaj last year. That all changed today when he unleashed his new heater "The Departed" on the people to celebrate his birthday (Happy B-day Ransom!). The synth and electric guitar-driven beat is aggressive in all the right places and allows Ransom to get real gritty, which is what he does best. Ransom is one of the best metaphor rappers in the game, dropping ill references to everything from Robin Williams to Floyd Mayweather's illiteracy to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Follow Ransom on Twitter for more new music and gems like this:

Quotable Lyrics:

Ya'll flipping the same pack, but Ran keep the crooks happy
Told the judge it's May weather, don't throw the book at me
