Plenty of rappers celebrate Throwback Thursday in some way or another, but few of them take it as far back as Raekwon. Every Thursday leading up to the release of his forthcoming studio album, Rae has been putting out freestyles. While rapping over someone else's instrumental is hardly new territory, the Wu-Tang Chef has made a point of breathing new life into the approach, picking classic soul songs to take on.
This week he's delivering his rhymes over a medley of classic Michael Jackson songs, "Got To Be There", and the Paul McCartney-assisted "The Girl Is Mine". Look out for plenty of more freestyles from rae in the coming weeks.
