Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy of Rae Sremmurd sit down to discuss their upcoming "SremmLife" EP and more.
Rae Sremmurd are the buzzing duo Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy. The two rappers are one of the first artists signed to Mike WiLL Made It's Ear Drummers imprint (the Two-9 collective was recently added to the roster as well), and thus have had ample assistance from Mike WiLL when it comes to production. They got a hot beat for "No Flex Zone" from their boss, and they were once again blessed with heat on "No Type." We caught up with them to find out if their SremmLife EP will be entirely Mike WiLL Made It-produced, the new single "No Type" and more.
During our interview, in which Swae Lee does most of the talking, he says that SremmLife will have beats from Sonny Digital and Metro Boomin', among others. "We got Sonny Digital on there, we fuckin with Metro [Boomin], we fuckin' with C-Note. A few names y'all probably don't even know, EDM, we fuckin' with all kinds of different music. You're not gunna know what to expect, it's unorthodox," he says.
The Mississippi duo also reveal they've got a big "No Type" remix in store, and gave us a vague hint as to who it might be. "We got a remix that's gunna be crazy. I don't think y'all ready for the remix...I'ma tell y'all something though, he Instagrammed it. It was Instagrammed. It's gunna be a movie."
