Up and coming R&B sensation Quartrail Tucker is a star in his own right. At the age of 13 Quartrail experienced his first taste of fame when he performed his rendition of the Jackson 5’s song “Who’s Loving You” in front of a packed audience at the Apollo Theater. Quartrail went on to win and has been determined ever since to make a name for himself in the music industry. Born and raised in Spartanburg, SC Quartrail hails from an artistic family. His mom was an artist, his father was a musician, and both his younger and older brother sing as well. At the age of three Quartrail began to sing in church and at the tender age of nine he and his brothers formed a gospel group called “The Tucker Brothers”. In middle school he began songwriting and upon entering high school he began producing his own music. He cites his favorite artists Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, and Donny Hathaway as constant inspirations. In addition, Quartrail is constantly trying to improve upon his craft so he studies songwriting and voice techniques of artists such as the Beatles, Slick Rick, Otis Redding, and Bill Withers. However, the multi talented musician not only sings but plays the drums, piano, trumpet, and is currently learning how to play the guitar. Quartrail states, “I’m driven to create real music. I love music in all aspects and forms. It makes up a big part of who I am essentially.” As an artist Quartrail strives to create music that is different. He feels that while it is important to create music that people will love and relate to that it is equally important to stay true to who he is an artist, “Real music comes from the heart.” With each performance, each song, each note he is striving to bring something that is uniquely him to the masses.
