Ascendent Florida rapper is about to embark on an epic 43-date summer tour in support of his new album Underground Underdog. Last night, he released a new track called "Shawty Independent" with Germ and Shakwell, two artists joining him on the tour.
Produced by Chevali, "Shawty Independent" contains reversed synths that recall Nothing Was The Same, though the overall aesthetic here is slightly trappier. The song is a sort of blissful breakup song... Pouya and co know the girl's gonna be alright. "She Thinks she need me/ Girl you gon make it."
