Dre London's been in the music industry for quite sometime. He's been hustling for a minute and worked with French Montana and Max B's career during the "Cocaine City" DVD days. Since then, he's built a successful career working with many artists but most notably as Post Malone's manager. Dre London joins us for the latest episode of "The Plug" and explains how he discovered Post Malone and how he saw Post's star quality before anyone else.
Over the past few years, Dre London's stood by Post's side before they reached this level of fame, even before "White Iverson" dropped. London explains how Post's dedication to making music, prior to even releasing any, helped him realize that Post had a special quality about him. He says that he met Post at a communal home filled with producers, YouTubers and gamers. After seeing Post move into a closet to make his bedroom a studio, he realized the artist had something special.
"At this time he didn't have any music out, it was 2014. Just making songs in the house." he said, "Then, he moved out of his bedroom to the closet so that everyone could use his bedroom as a studio. When I saw that [I said] 'yeah, he wants it. He definitely wants it' To go and put your mattress in a closet in this small space when you had the second best room in this mansion. It made he wanted it, he was here for a purpose."
