As great as the holidays can be, they don't always encourage the best music. Thankfully, Popcaan has seen this as an opening to deliver "Christmas Gift," a track that sticks in with his regular dancehall style, but brings about festive feelings with some well-selected chime sounds. Whether you live somewhere with mountains of snow or sunshine year round, it should play well in the upcoming season.
Popcaan has continued to release singles, though has yet to drop a follow-up to 2014's underrated Where We Come From album. Could he have a holiday album in the making? Off the strength of "Christmas Gift," we'd buy it in a heartbeat.
