SYDNEY BASED, NEW ZEALAND SINGER - SONGWRITER - RAPPER - GUITARIST Biography Sydney-based solo artist POEM started out as a writer and naturally transitioned his talent to include music. He has distinguished himself within the underground urban music scene both in Australia and New Zealand as an artist with multiple attributes. Wellington born and raised in Christchurch (New Zealand) guitarist, rapper and singer songwriter Poem channels his positive energy and life experie nces into his music. As an independent artist Poem is currently recording new tracks for his next EP “Who I Am” due to be released September 2012. Along side his new EP, Poem is working on his album; which will feature both Australian and International Artists. Over the last four years Poem has performed original material at various events around Australia and New Zealand and at several cultural and community events including Cabramatta Moon Festival, Liquidfest (Canberra), Parramatta Youth Festival, Waitangi Day Festival (Brisbane). Concerts and tours include the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert, New Zealands Dj Manchoo as a support act at the Coogee Bay Hotel and the Gaelic Theatre, The Outlawz – Tupac Still Breathing Australian Tour and with Smashproof – Smashproof Weekend Tour, New Zealand. Since being exposed to music from the age of four Poems’ natural passion and enthusiasm continues to grow. Very dedicated, focused and determined, there is no doubt that POEM is destined to succeed.
