Playboi Carti is opening up.

The Atlanta rapper sat down with Ssense magazine to give a new interview about a wide range of subjects. He talked about everything from where he grew up to where he is now and what's important to him in all facets of life.

Carti on the biggest factors in his life and career:

"Staying true to myself. I decided I wanted to be a rapper and be big in music, so staying down to my plan. Staying down until I come up. I love to see my mother smile, to have my family be happy. Stuff happens so fast you don’t really realize what’s going on until you sit back and be like, 'Damn, I did this.' Just making people proud."

He also admitted to keeping his phone as a sort of diary - well, three phones actually. When asked what he documents, he responded "Funny moments in my life, going to different countries. I like to take pictures of flowers and statues [...] The little things in life make me happy."

Carti's music is also picking up steam online, with his track "wokeuplikethis*" already topping 15 million plays on Spotify.
