Kanye West's Loft
We all know Kanye's love for all things minimal, and his Midtown Manhattan loft embodies that to the fullest. The loft was designed by Claudio Silvestrin Architects in 2007, and is a 200 square meter space. It's hard to tell what's what, but as the architects describe, "two monolithic stone islands are exclusive features in the sculptural design: the first functions as a kitchen/bar unit, the second as a basin and bathtub unit."
Location: Palm Island, Miami
Birdman dropped $14.5 million on his Miami home, which previously belonged to producer Scott Storch. The mansion has 9 bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, over a 19,000 square foot space in Palm Island. Among his many amenities Baby has an elevator, an in-ground pool, and a private dock with access to the ocean.
Location: Bridgehampton, New York
Jay Z and wifey Bey rented this Hampton pad for the summer, while it's listed for sale at $43.5 million, they forked over $400,000 for the month of August. The mansion is a 31,000-square-foot space, and only has the bare essentials, like, a two-lane bowling alley, virtual golf, a tennis court, spa facility, basketball court, skateboard half-pipe, full bar, a recording studio and a rock-climbing wall, plus an 8-car garage. Oh yeah, in case they have any visitors, they can stay in an extra two-bedroom apartment on the vast property.
50 Cent's Mansion
Location: Farmington, Connecticut
50 Cent has said in interviews he doesn't get to spend much time at his multi-million dollar mansion in Connecticut, but he does have family members who get to enjoy the huge property. The 52-room, 50,000 square-foot home once belonged to Mike Tyson, and while Fif has actually been trying to sell the massive mansion, he hasn't been able too, and so continues slashing his listing price. 50 cited the house's huge size as a reason he wanted to sell, plus he was frustrated with the two-hour commute to NYC.
Pharrell Williams' Penthouse
Pharrell purchased this Miami penthouse in 2007 for $12.525 million, and although he's been trying to sell it since 2012 (currently the property is listed at $10.9 million) he hasn't had any takers yet. The penthouse is definitely a reflection of Pharrell's creative self, and consists of five bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms, a home theatre and penthouse pool.
Diddy's Bachelor Pad
Location: New York
Although Diddy no longer resides at this bachelor pad in NYC, it still deserves a highlight. The apartment, which has an amazing view of the city, was listed for $8.5 million when it went up in 2012. It's located on the 66th floor condo at the Park Imperial, and some of the perks Diddy installed include a customized wet bar, a customized entertainment center, and a glass piano.
Drake's Hills Mansions
Location: Hidden Hills, California
Drizzy went all out for himself and friends when copping this $7.7 million estate. The property reportedly includes a mechanical bull ('cause why not?), fake lagoons, a cave, and an 80-foot water slide. Apparently all the OVO crew who stay on the YOLO estate (yup, that's the name of Drake's crib) get their own little cabin, something Drake showed off during the vlog of him drinking out his Grammy, which you can check out below.
Tyga's Cali Mansion
Location: Calabasas, California
Tyga started a family this past year with girlfriend Blac Chyna who had their first son, King Cairo. With a name like that it's only right Tyga purchase a $6.6 million home to live in.
Lil Wayne's Miami Pad
Location: La Gorce Island, Miami Beach
The YMCMB rappers really know how to live. Weezy F bought this Miami Beach pad for a steep $14 million. The home has nine bedrooms and nine baths, a three-bedroom guesthouse, a skateboard ramp on the roof, and the inside looks pretty minimalist if the above photos are correct. Weezy was trying to sell this home back in 2011, but we're not sure if that ever happened.
Location: Bel-Air, Los Angeles
Kanye already made this list for his bachelor pad, but his home with Kim is way crazier. Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, lovers of all things extravagant, went big for their first home together with baby North West. The $11 million crib, which already looks like it's pretty awesome (see the photos above), is currently undergoing a bunch of renovations to Kim and Kanye's exact specifications.
We take a look at different mansions belonging to some of the biggest rappers in the game.
Rappers definitely like to live an extravagant lifestyle, at least, they like to talk about living an extravagant lifestyle. While the average rapper doesn't have several millions to drop on a crib, the rappers on this list have put in a lot of work and racked up a lot of bills because of it. They're REALLY living that lifestyle.
