Set for release tomorrow (Aug. 12), PartyNextDoor's P3 is looking like it will be his most successful project yet. The Mississauga-bred singer and producer has become an indelible part of the signature sound of both OVO and the city of Toronto. He hasn't yet proved his hit-making ability to compare to that of his label's frontman, but as a leading songwriter behind Rihanna and Drake's chart-topping "Work," it feels like stardom awaits him. Keep in mind that he's only been around for less than three and a half years. He popped up out of nowhere in the Spring of 2013 with "Make a Mil," which landed on the OVO blog. He was then announced as the first artist -- aside from Drake -- to be signed to the now-dominant Toronto label. His debut self-titled project was commercially released that summer.

"Make a Mil" finds Party singing with the flow and spontaneity of a Southern rapper, though the emotional depth of his vocals can't be ignored. It's expected that tomorrow's P3 will be less focused on rap-inspired lyrics and more on catchy vocal experiments, often shaped by the rhythms of his Caribbean heritage. He's evolved considerably, but the genre-blurring effect of his voice and personality was obvious from the beginning.

Quotable Lyrics

And if it all goes down, she down for me
And if it all goes down, I'll probably make a mil with her
Probably make a mil with her ass
