O.T. Genasis was able to finesses "Cut It," a track from his 2015 mixtape, Rhythm & Bricks, into a 2016 hit, so there's no saying he couldn't do the same for "Push It". Pulled from the same tape, the record has a similar appeal to Genasis' current Young Dolph-assisted hit, building off of an infectiously repetitive hook. The hook features the rapper mobbing with his crew, mixed in with some artful shots of the surrounding neighborhood. It seems like the kind of track that would work well in 6-second form, soundtracking Vines everywhere.

Blige and more. Busta takes care of his Conglomerate signees, bringing along O.T. Genasis and J-Doe for "God's Plan."

O.T. Genasis has dropped off the video to "Cut It," off his recent Rhythm & Bricks mixtape. The song and video features Memphis's Young Dolph. Though "Cut It" boasts a similarly repetitive hook as on "CoCo," it's a different type of banger entirely and will likely be appreciated by fans of gritty trap music.

O.T. Genasis has been looking for a single to hit as hard as his breakthrough record, "CoCo," and "Do It" seems to be his best chance yet. The record could not be further from the gritty street anthem he made his name on, with Genasis instead opting for a primarily sung vocal delivery, making for an R&B-tinged track.

No one was expecting OT Genasis' street anthem, "CoCo" to take off the way it did, including Genasis himself. In order to match the massive success of the single, it seems OT decided he had to upgrade the visual accompaniment for the song. While the previous video took place primarily in a kitchen, the new revision features Lamborghinis, yachts, guest appearances from DJ Khaled, Timbaland, and amazingly, Ice-T and his wife CoCo.

Whether or not you're in love with it, you've likely heard OT Genasis' "CoCo". The song has been taking over the club, rap radio, and social media with its highly quotable mantra. Most recently, it made its debut on the Billboard Hot 100, solidifying it as a national hit. HNHH's Baker had a chance to sit down with Genasis to talk about his recent success with the record. The West Coast rapper talks about the surprisingly warm reception he's had in New York, as well as his plans to drop an official remix, before revealing a few other (very different) things he's in love with.

As Busta Rhymes' artist O.T. Genasis's track "CoCo" starts to pop off, his refrain "I'm in love with the coco" will soon make its way into your daily life and language. It's already started happening. When we hit the streets for the latest edition of Word On The Streets, and started asking people if they're in love with the coco (because), many responded by singing the record. There were a few people who weren't familiar with what the coco is though.

To promote his latest single “Coco”, OT Genesis made his way by the Hot 97 studios on Thursday evening and blessed the listeners to some bars. Back in May, we featured "Touchdown," a track by relatively unknown artist by the name of OT Genasis whose affiliation with Busta Rhymes drew collaborations from French Montana and Juicy J. Now that he has our attention, Genasis is out to prove himself as a solo act. Today, he drops "CoCo," the first single to his upcoming debut. Featuring an instrumental reminiscent of Wiz Khalifa's "We Dem Boyz," the track's high-energy production is matched by its performer. Genasis impresses with confidently delivered and heavily accented lyrics.

Back in May, we posted a track by relatively unknown artist OT Genasis, who's affiliated with Busta Rhymes, that featured Rhymes, French Montana and Juicy J. His "Touchdown" remix attracted enough big names to get our attention, and now, Genasis is gearing up for a solo project. Today, he drops a trailer for the upcoming "I'm in Love with the (Coco)" video, set to be the first single. Clearly not talking about Crisp, Chanel or Pebbles, Genasis makes it immediately clear that this is primo coke rap, right down to him and his crew, who all wear white in this video.
