Ball On Em

OTB Fastlane's "Ball On Em" has been buzzing on the north side of Houston, and as it liberally samples Project Pat's 2001 hit, "Chicken Head," H-Town's resident Memphis rap connoisseur BeatKing couldn't resist hopping on the record. Leaving the recognizable synth line completely intact, Fastlane's record captures the aggressive catchiness of the original with a delivery that recalls both classic Three 6 material and the crunk movement that followed. BeatKing's contribution is relatively reserved next to Fastlane's raspy bark, but he brings the record further into Houston with his bass-y vocal finesse. It should bring the record even more attention within the city and beyond.
