OneSix (Bassam AbuFalasteen) was born to Palestinian parents in Chicago, Illinois. In 1992, he and his family returned to his home in Jerusalem, Palestine, where he would spend his childhood and early teen years. During his childhood and early teen years the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has made Bassam the person he is today. Usually when war gets thrown with growing up the assumption of a 'rough' living pops up, but for Bassam he was grateful to see a world where nothing is granted, which helped him see a side of life not every child/teen gets to see. In 2001 OneSix moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he has remained since. Bassam made his start in the music industry creating beats for his fellow rappers. In 2009 he decided to come out from behind the keys and into the booth. Bassam specializes in D.I.Y Music. OneSix is working on his Mixtape (set to release late September) Bassam tries to paint a picture with his words, sharing personal stories from his life and the people he knows.
