On The Come Up: Playboi Carti

Playboi Carti talks about his come up.

Playboi Carti is definitely buzzing these days, so before the Atlanta takes off entirely and enters another stratosphere, we caught up with him to shoot an episode of On The Come Up.

You know the drill by now. Playboi takes us through his career's trajectory, from growing up in the Southside of Atlanta, to linking with Awful Records, getting signed to A$AP Rocky and more.

"Shout out to A$AP Rocky, man, Rocky signed me, we got a lot of shit coming. Bout to drop probably five bangers, real soon, just flooding the streets with new shit, new concept on things. Nothing's really changing, it's just about to be bigger and better," Carti says of the deal.

He also takes us through some notable collaborations, naming Frank Ocean, Rocky and Skepta. However he leaves us with a caveat: "I might drop a tape without features you feel me. That's just to show you I can make a tape without any features and it still be good." Look out for his Cash Carti mixtape.
