Cozz has done nothing but impress since signing to J Cole's Dreamville imprint in 2014. With two rock-solid projects under his belt in Cozz & Effect and Nothing Personal, the budding Los Angeles rapper reflects on his rise to prominence in HNHH's On the Come Up series.
Cozz goes in depth as he discusses his introduction to rap, his influences (Cassidy), the first time he with J Cole, signing to Dreamville, and the making his first two projects. He also tells the story of how he met Meez, who produces all of his music. They developed their sound and chemistry during a 2-3 month stint in which Cozz lived with Meez's family. They still live together -- they got their own place now, with a studio in the back. As Cozz says: "It's a beautiful thing."
