We haven't heard all that much since King Los' GodMoneyWar, and on his new track "R.A.S.," which appears on his I Am Not An Industry Plant" EP, he's addressing his absence from rap. "I gave my everything to n---as' and got nothing in return / Two years of being slept on, never got my turn / Took two years off and said, "fuck it I gotta' learn" / Sometimes I wonder why I was even fuckin' concerned," he says directly out the gate. "And that's some real ass shit."

It's no secret that while Los has displayed an impressive way with words, whether it be with heavy-hitting punchlines or nuanced storytelling, he hasn't been received the recognition he deserves. After being "slept on" throughout his career, it seems he's taking no prisoners with his new material, and is ready to prove himself once and for all. Later on, he speaks of his hardships in greater detail. "N---as' threw dirt on me, I brought 'em flowers back / You took the easy way out, I took the hard walk / You gotta' take the long road to listen to God talk / Both of my brothers in prison, I seen my mother cryin' / Puff said this path get dark, that n---a wasn't lying."

From the sounds of it, I Am Not An Industry Plant is merely a warm up for something bigger. "New music from King Los gearing up for a mega release!!" he writes on SoundCloud. Could we be getting the long-awaited follow-up to GodMoneyWar? It seems likely. For now, we're just happy to hear Los as hungry and versatile as ever on this new 3-song collection. Listen to it here.

Quotable Lyrics:
N---as talk all that hype, but I doubt it
Put life inside your body, get life out it
Put love inside your temple and find peace
Well Los, "where you find that knowledge?"
"It found me"
On GodMoneyWar, I prophesied it before
Now I went from your TV screen to your front door
You give n---as your whole soul and they want more
They ask me why I'm so hardcore
