A little throwback Wednesday for my internet peoples. Last year you may recall that RZA and the Wu dropped a limited edition Boombotix speaker, which contained some exclusive records from Wu-Tang, that you could only hear through purchasing the speaker. He's teaming up with the speaker company once again, this time blessing old (and new) hip-hop heads with some exclusive Ol Dirty Bastard music.

RZA happened across "Obey Me" from a vintage ODB session, and is releasing it exclusively through the Boombotix speaker; the original version as well as two remixes. Today we're hearing one of the remixes from Shash'U, while the second remix will be courtesy of Montreal native High Klassified.

Here's what RZA had to say about the cut: "We were recording his first album [Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version] and he was in the studio having a good time and recorded the song. He was fuckin’ buggin’ out on this song that night. Dirty felt that anything he made was supposed to be released. I was more critical of what we released. And even though some people may listen to his first album and go, ‘Shit, this is crazy, this song fits right in.’ To me, there was a method to the madness of what we did. And with the stuff that didn’t make the album, there was a clear reason why in the narrative of what I was striving to create with his style."

Quotable Lyrics

I'm wearing a 200-pound vest on
A 200-pound anklet bracelet on
200-pound wrist bracelet on
I'm healthy and strong
