Kid Cudi's mental issues struggles inspired OG Maco to make a Cudi tribute mixtape called For Scott. The release of the tape coincided with Cudi's return to the stage at ComplexCon over the weekend after a stint in rehab.
Produced by Hassan Khaffaf, For Scott standout "At Night" features a a ghoulish swirl of synths and strings and a fiendish hi-hat gallop. It is about insomnia, and the tumult inside Maco's brain and heart as he yearns for sleep.
"For the man on the moon who taught us all not to give a fuck," Maco writes in the tape's epigraph. "Fight on. Dream on."
