Tyler The Creator On His "Dads" Kanye & Pharrell: "They're Fucking Gods" Nov 29, 2015 at 06:37pm
Tyler, The Creator has never been shy to cite Pharrell as his biggest influence, and even without his constant praise of the superproducer, the DNA of both the Neptunes and N*E*R*D is transparently present in his work. One of his less obvious influences is Kanye West, someone he's gotten to know well over the last few years, to the point he's one of the first people 'Ye turns to when it comes to feedback on his new material.
Hodgy Beats & Tyler, The Creator Squash The Beef
Hodgy Beats & Tyler, The Creator Squash The Beef Nov 16, 2015 at 05:49pm
This weekend's Odd Future carnival seemingly did more to tear apart the Wolf Gang than bring them together. Hodgy Beats took the opportunity to fire some shots at Tyler, The Creator during his set with OFWGKTA, calling him a "fraud" and accusing the rapper of turning his back on the crew.

Last night (Nov. 14), during his headlining set at Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, Tyler, the Creator expressed his frustration with a certain unnamed member of his inner-circle. It now seems as though his words were directed at Hodgy Beats, who, apparently, during his own performance earlier in the evening, had spoken to the crowd about his unhappiness with Tyler.

In August, former Hustle Gang member Spodee ruffled more than a few feathers during his interview with DJ Smallz when he stated, "I have the potential to be bigger than Tip or if not, just as big." Grand Hustle chief T.I. didn't let this sit quietly, he took to Instagram to address Spodee’s claims of outgrowing the label and going against the Grand Hustle family.

Some were skeptical when Tyler, the Creator launched his Golf Media app in April with a monthly subscription rate of $5. But the swashbuckling rapper has delivered, providing a steady stream of interviews, BTS shenanigans, radio shows, and even a real-life "Golf Book" magazine. Today Tyler announced Golf Media's most ambitious and exciting venture yet -- an animated series called "The Jellies."

Chris Brown’s publicist has to be a millionaire. Just think about the amount of damage control this person has to perform, on top of managing an already-polarizing figure. Despite lengthy stints in anger management and continued, sometimes confusingly-rabid fan support (like this stuff), the enigmatic Brown continues to play the role of the antagonist, engaging in countless reckless feuds on the mega-public stages of nearly every social media platform available.

10 Essential Casey Veggies Tracks Jun 14, 2015 at 02:53pm
Casey Veggies might be young, but the twenty-one year old MC has quite the list of credentials for someone who's just barely old enough to (legally) get into the club. As an original member of Odd Future, Casey Veggies appeared on the groups first mixtape, The Odd Future Tape, before distinguishing himself as his own brand. He's since released a handful of tapes on Peas & Carrots, and even had Rick Ross' Maybach Music release his most recent effort Fresh Veggies.

Back in February, Hodgy Beats surprised us with Dena Tape 2, the much-anticipated sequel to his Dena Tape, released six years earlier. As the Twitter ramblings of Tyler & Earl have implied the end of Odd Future as we know it, Hodgy has quietly reminded us he's still making new music, dropping three brand new tracks on his soundcloud.  The three tracks are titled "NOHOOK," "THANKKSGIVING," and "Choppedd." "NOHOOK" is produced by P-Lo of the HBK Gang, while the latter two tracks are both produced by LB.

Earl Sweatshirt Confirms "The Obvious": Odd Future Is No More May 30, 2015 at 11:11am
Last Thursday (May 28), Tyler, the Creator was going through old photos, and simultaneously tweeting his nostalgic feelings. After tweeting, "5 years later isnt that long but wow soooo much has happened," he wrote, "although it's no more, those 7 letters are forever." The "7 letters" seemed to refer to "OFWGKTA," thus many believed Tyler's tweets to mark the official end of Odd Future.

Throughout his career, Tyler, The Creator's always presented his opinions in confusing, often seemingly contradictory ways. Similarly to Eminem in his Marshall Mathers heyday, the Odd Future rapper's use of homophobic language has often been countered by his actions, most notably his friendship with Frank Ocean (which was addressed on "Rusty").

Last week (April 13), we saw two big-time releases that both dropped in surprising fashion. Tyler, the Creator released Cherry Bomb, his fourth studio album, after announcing its release only a week prior. A more contentious project came from Young Thug, who, days before the release date, changed his Carter 6 to Barter 6 due to legal threats from Lil Wayne. Here are the first week numbers for both.

Review: Tyler, The Creator's "Cherry Bomb" Apr 16, 2015 at 03:29pm
In line with the recent (and awesome) trend of surprise albums, Tyler, the Creator announced Cherry Bomb just a few days prior to its April 13th digital release. The album’s single, “Fucking Young,” along with its attached snippet of the record's opening track, “Deathcamp,” showed a Tyler who is wearing his N.E.R.D. influence plain and proud, while also struggling with the trappings of fame and...statutory rape.

Which of these is a member of the Hip Hop group Odd Future, and NOT the character of a children's show?A.) Dora the Explorer B.) Tyler, the CreatorC.) Thomas the Tank EngineD.) Bob the BuilderThe answer would be laughably obvious to the average rap fan, but it earned a contestant on Who Wants to Be A Millionaire $25,000 earlier today. The show (which apparently airs during the day now) was caught by a couple of OF fans, who made sure to screencap the hilarious question (view it in the gallery above).
