Odd Couple is a rising producer out of Chicago who has been working with some of the most exciting rappers in the region over the last few years. His Liberation tape, which dropped earlier this month, pairs him with some impressive and complimentary guests including Kweku Collins, Jamila Woods and Kipp Stone. One of the most effective tracks on the project is a collaboration with Joey Purp, a traditionally skilled rapper matched with a timeless string sample reminiscent of Kanye's early material.

Both densely multi-syllabic and emotionally charged, Odd Couple's dynamic beat allows Joey to put his full range of strengths to the forefront. Listen to the full tape here.

Quotable Lyrics:
And it's the places we live in
That they refuse to go
So when we speak of our struggles
They can refuse to know
I lend you my vision and wisdom
So that you can know
I turn a page to paper plane
My pain flies on music notes
