Bay Area rapper Kafani was reportedly shot 5 times in Oakland, California Saturday night. The 33-year old rapper was in the midst of a beef with fellow rapper Philthy Rich, and was actually said to be filming a video for a diss track towards the rapper when he was hit.
An unidentified man allegedly told Kafani and his entourage that they could not film at their current location, before proceeding to unload his weapon on the rapper. This happened around 11:39 PM.
Kafani was rushed to hospital, and underwent surgery for his wounds. As of the last report, the rapper was still in critical condition.
There is no evidence to support that Kafani's feud with Philthy Rich had anything to do with the attack, but it has not been ruled out.
